Call for Experts: TEVLCS2 Lighting Materials Standards Committee

SAE International is seeking industry experts to join the TEVLCS2  Lighting Materials Standards Committee.

The Lighting Materials Standards Committee is part of the Lighting Systems Steering Committee that reports to the Motor Vehicle Council (MVC). The Committee is responsible for developing and maintaining SAE Standards, Recommended Practices, and Information Reports related to lighting materials and coatings - primarily organic materials used as optical lenses. The following task forces have been developed under the committee's scope: • J576 Plastic Materials including recommendation for Diffused materials; • J1647 Lenses for use with High Intensity Discharge light sources; • LED Lighting Materials; • Haze Requirements; • HL Lens Coatings, Participants in the SAE Lighting Materials Standards Committee include OEMs, suppliers, consulting firms, government agencies, and other interested parties.
