VOLUNTEERS NEEDED IN CHICAGO/PEORIA AREA

COMVEC Conference High School Mentorship Day

SAE International’s COMVEC forum is seeking 20 volunteers for High School Mentorship Day on Wednesday, September 20 from 9 a.m.- 2 p.m.. At the event, over 200 high school students will have the opportunity to be matched with mentors, attend educational sessions, interact with exhibiting companies, and participate in the days networking functions. Volunteers’ registration fees for the day of the event will be comped.

COMVEC is a 3-day event in which commercial vehicle experts in the on-highway, off-highway and defense sectors can collaborate in a neutral environment to find advanced technical solutions and address standards that will help everyone stay ahead of new regulations.

The itinerary of the event is as follows:

9:00 a.m.: students arrive, mentors meet and decide next steps (demos, sessions, etc), team creating punch list of starter questions
10:00-10:30 a.m.: Exhibit hall open, dedicated time with university exhibitors & vehicle displays

10:30-11:00 a.m.: Networking break
11:00am-12:30 p.m.: Dedicated time with university exhibitors & vehicle displays
12:30 p.m.: Lunch
1:30 p.m.: Mentors/Students final debrief in Ballroom
2:00 p.m.: Students depart
