Our Section encourages student participation at the undergraduate and graduate levels by working closely with SAE Collegiate Chapters and our Collegiate Design Series Teams at our local universities.   • Collins Aerospace Tour

    SAE Chicago in cooperation with Rockford Beloit Section is pleased to offer a technical program and tour of Collin's Aerospace facility at 4747 Harrison Ave., Rockford IL.  The event will run from 11:30 to 2:00 pm on November 7, and will include a lunch with a technical program prior to the tour.

    The tour will include Plant 6 with the Collins Wall of History, assembly, production testing and the development testing areas. Along the way various subject matter experts will speak on a variety of technologies including the Ram Air Turbine (RAT), airplane power systems, wind tunnel testing, production and assembly methods and advanced propulsion systems for reduced aircraft emissions. Lunch will be provided. Space is limited and RSVP is required.

    The admission fee for this event is $20 SAE Members / $25 Non-Members / $10 SAE University Students, and payment is required at the time of advance registration.  No registrations will be accepted at the door.

    Attendees are required to be US Citizens with valid ID, and Collins Aerospace reserves the right to deny admission to competitor's employees.
