Aircraft health management systems ensure the safety of an aircraft through efficient maintenance processes to reduce delays, save time, decrease cost, creating smoother travel experiences for all. We spoke with @Rhonda Walthall, Fellow, Prognostics & Health Management at Collins Aerospace and SAE Board Director, on SAE Tomorrow Today to discuss the role predictive analytics and aircraft health management systems have on creating a safer, faster, more efficient way to travel.

Inspired by fellow Ohioan Neil Armstrong to explore the mysteries of space travel, she pursued her education in aeronautical engineering at Purdue then Pepperdine University, leading her to navigate a career at airframe manufacturers, airlines, and Maintenance Repair Organizations. From helping develop the Boeing C-17 Globemaster to becoming the first civilian woman to fly on the aircraft days, she’s become the inspiration.

Tune into our conversation with Walthall on SAE Tomorrow Today and discover the future of aeronautics.
